Barone played in the fourth season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was a cast member of Carol & Company, starring with Carol Burnett in the early 90s. Barone had also played her husband, Carol Willick Ross Geller in Friends' first ever appearance. She left the show as she was looking for a more full-time role she was substituted by Jane Sibbett. Barone was the lead in The Jeff Foxworthy Show's first season from 1995 to 1996 and The War at Home, between 2005 and 2007. Barone played co-star alongside Daddio in 2000.
